Tourantula

This last Sunday, I got to attended the Family Force Five Tourantula tour in Jacksonville, Florida. This was my 7^th time seeing Family Force Five and of course it was still an amazing show.

There were three other bands on the tour besides Family Force Five. The bands were Since Forever, Swimming With Dolphins, and Stereo Skyline. All the bands put on a great show and really connected with the audience.

The tour was ran very smoothly. Between sets, the crew was very fast and hard at work to set up for the next band. The crew would even interact with the crowd, at times. They would dance and talk to them.

Before the show started, Family Force Five had a V.I.P. preshow. I got to attend this and I was surprised at how fast and painless the process was. All the V.I.P.s got a free C.D., a picture with the band, and got to watch an acoustic performance. One of the managers, named Jade, was in charge of the V.I.P.s. She was very nice and very good at her job. She talked to us and let us know exactly what were to do and when to do it.

As I stated earlier, the show was amazing. If you ever get a chance to go to a Family Force Five show, then you should go. The put on one of the best live shows I have ever seen.

What is this blog for?

My name is Megan and music is one of my biggest passions. This blog is to talk specifically about the touring world. I love going to concerts and in the future I want to tour, either as a manager or as a performer. In this blog there will be posts about anything related to tours.

I will post information of certain tours that are coming up and also provide information and my opinion on tours that I attended. For instance, in a couple weeks I will be attending three shows on the Family Force Five Tourantula tour. After I go to the shows, I will discuss how I felt they were put together and how they were ran.

This blog will also give information on the various jobs that are important to making a tour run smoothly. I will talk about what the jobs are and also try to interview some people who have worked on tours.

I also would like to discus how important a tour is to musicians. I would also like to get musicians input on touring. I will either interview them or research how they feel about certain tours.
